Stella's explorations

Stella has been exploring so much lately. We keep remembering fondly of when she first came to us and just stayed on her stand. OK, that's not really true, but really, she could calm down a bit!

This morning, Thomas was in the shower and I was in the living room giving the parrots new food. The greys were in the kitchen. I heard something get thrown to the floor, so I ran in to see what it was:Thomas had left part of his lunch on the counter. Stella had opened up the top, thrown the cover on the floor, and then began helping herself to his sandwich:
A few minutes later, I was doing the parrots' waters. Every day I hide wood slices in Calypso's cage. He finds them, brings them to his water dish, and chips them up. I had set his dish on the counter, and Stella immediately came over:
She then started chipping up a larger piece of wood she found:

Hi Mary.
Do you have any favorite online stores for toys and toy supplies?

Shannon -- thanks!

Elphie -- my very favorite is the Parrot Asylum. There should be a link on the right side of my blog. The site isn't high tech, but the prices are very low, the quality is excellent, and the woman who runs the store is one of the nicest people -- we've struck up a friendship through my ordering her stuff (toys and supplies.)

Most of my stuff I buy from the rescue where I volunteer as they have a small retail store and all proceeds go to support the birds at the rescue. Plus, I'm there every week so I see things I can't resist :)
