It's been a really busy month at work and I've been unable to keep up on reading the blogs in my sidebar. I'm finally working through them, and came across a very sad post about a bird that I'd come to care for over the past year or so.
Here is a really moving post written by a friend of the owner, and here is her owner's blog.
I am just sitting here, stunned, and almost in tears.

That's such a shame, she was a beautiful bird. Like the author said, I wonder how many other plucking cases are attributed to behavioral problems when it's really environmental.
Hi Mary,
a belated thank you for your kind words about Jasmine on Chipper's Alley and Dweezeljazz blogs. It means a lot to us that so many people cared for her, even people she never actually met. We'll always miss her, but she will always be with us too.

DB -- I loved reading Jazzy stories. Although we haven't done so yet, she's my inspiration for taking Rocky hiking with us. Now I just need to convince Thomas.
Snoopers -- Jazzy was very easy to love. Even though I never met her, I can never forget her, either.
Thank you, Mary, for being so kind to write about Jazzy.
