I didn't take any pictures early on in the process, but here is our cheese ball, draining. We didn't have any string, so we used poly rope we'd purchased from The Parrot Asylum to make bird toys.

The decision was made to brine half of the cheese. This needed parrot supervision:
When Thomas had his back turned, putting the brining cheese in the fridge, of course Max had to help herself to some cheese:
I have to admit, the cheese was not as tasty as I would have liked. Thomas said he did a plainer cheese this time in order to perfect the method and that we will make tastier cheeses in the future. I sure hope so as this was rather bland! Perhaps the briny cheese will be tastier.
