More Steve

Gratuitous picture of Steve that really doesn't have anything to do with the post I'm about to make:1. Thomas and I were gone Saturday afternoon and evening, which meant the parrots had to spend much time in their cages and didn't get their normal evening interaction with us. When we got home, Steve climbed down from his perch to a point close to us and made some happy whistles! This is huge as he usually tries to hide from us as much as possible -- but he was acting as though he was happy to see us!

2. Max and I do a very simple whistle game where I'll whistle the first note of a two-note "song" and she'll whistle the second one, or sometimes she whistles the first one and I complete it. On Sunday, I whistled the first note and Steve completed it!

It's so great to hear about Steve's progress! He's lucky to have you and Thomas.

And the goose running story is fantastic!

Thanks, E.R. It's been great watching him slowly become more at home with us!

I so wish I could have been there to see the goose!

My running partner told me once a deer kind of ran next to her for about one tenth of a mile. So fun!
